    ANPPCAN Uganda Chapter is a national, membership organization, founded on the principle of community participation in 1992. ANPPCAN believes the idea of child protection is the responsibility of all social, economic and political networks at the households, community and national level. As we seek to create a multi disciplinary network of child protection ambassadors who share, contribute to, communicate and respond to ANPPCAN Uganda Chapter’s primary cause of protecting children from neglect and abuse.

    Who is eligible for Membership?

    Anyone with a sound mind living anywhere in the world, interested in securing a bright future for the Ugandan child, with a heart and passion to support abused and neglected children.

     The ANPPCAN membership categories approved by the 10th Annual General Meeting fall in two broad categories which include; Individual membership (Promoters, Subscribers, Life Members) and Associate Members.

     Individual Membership

    This category of membership has the following types under it.

    1. Promoters

    Promoters Dedicate time to ANPPCAN’s work;

    • Can be involved in mobilization activities in their respective region;
    • Can be elected to be a member of the district committee;
    • Pay an annual support fee of UGX 30.000/-

     Benefits for Being a Promoter

    • Membership card (valid 1 year);
    • Materials and information accessible on website (log in);
    • ANPPCAN news (automatic email and digital newsletter);
    • Training (resources allowing);
    • Advocacy / campaign materials;
    • Child Link magazine 3 times a year;
    • Annual report;
    • Quarterly meeting in districts for sharing and updating;

    2. Subscribers

    • Dedicate expertise and time to ANPPCAN’s work;
    • Can be elected for any position on the board or district committee;
    • May represent the organization (appointed);
    • Can be appointed to any committee;

    Subscribers pay an annual fee of  (UGX 200.000 of which UGX 50.000 for annual support fee and UGX 150.000 to support the case of 1 child, this contribution will be donated to the ANPPCAN Child Protection Fund).

    Benefits for being a subscriber

    • Can be elected for any position on the board or district committee;
    • May represent the organization (appointed);
    • Can be appointed to any committee;
    • Can be elected for any position on the board or district committee;

    • Can be appointed to any committee;
    • Participate in the Annual General Meeting (right to vote);
    • Pay an annual support fee of UGX 50.000;
    • Support the case of 1 child a year for UGX 150.000 to enable ANPPCAN to fully support cases.

    This type of membership aims at people who can spare more funds often due to their economical and / or social position and are most often professionals in the legal, medical, education or social work profession that are capable of playing an active role within ANPPCAN as an organization. Subscribers can be involved in committees and can also be consulted at any time.

    3. Life Members

    A special type of subscriber is the life member. Life members are considered as subscribers in legal status within ANPPCAN but pay a higher subscription fee.

    Life members pay (UGX 2.000.000 of which 1.500.000 will be donated to the ANPPCAN Child Protection Fund. Life members enjoy all benefits of the subscribers.

     How to become a Member

     Anybody can become an ANPPCAN member by visiting any of our district branches in Mukono, Arua, Apac, Gulu, Kitgum, Kasese, Rakai, Iganga, Jinja and also our head offices in Kampala, fill and submit the forms together with your contribution.

    You can also download the membership forms from our website, http://www.anppcanug.org, fill the form and then submit to the nearest ANPPCAN office.

    2. Donation by Cheque;

    You can send a cheque + your personal address details to send your receipt, to ANPPCAN Child Protection Fund, P.O. Box 24640,          Kampala.  You can also deliver your cheque in person to your district office. You will receive a receipt upon delivery at the district office and another from the secretariat in Kampala once your cheque is received there (don’t forget to give your (email) address

    3. Donation by Cash

    You can also deliver your cash in person to your district office. You will receive a receipt upon delivery at the district office and another from the secretariat in Kampala once your cash is received.
